After launching my vibecoding career with PumaSOC, I decided to see if I could make a companion game where instead of being the Operations lead, you played as one of the analysts.
The idea was simple - various incident scenarios with branching paths that gave you better or worse results. At higher levels, incidents would be related, requiring the player to recognize a pattern and infer a deeper issue that could then be tracked down in a threat hunt.
While developing this game, I started to realize I was actually building an incident-response mindset training simulator, as actual experienced handlers would easily know which of three static options to choose from.
I think there is something here that could be useful and/or entertaining for people wanting to get into incident handling, but I don't know anybody who ever wanted to get into forensics so they could be an MSSP analyst.
